March 7, 2024 - Great bottle but not as nice as the last? Bottle variation (?)
Decanted but it was very accessible. Dank with friends at North Shore Lake Tahoe after skiing.

March 23, 2023 - Popped the first of a six pack and was extremely happy I did, wow ! Decanted at Lone Eagle Grill (Closes 2024 🥲) Rich, super fine tannins , great dark fruit, balanced and delicious.
Nose was enchantingly addictive! It evolved substantially as the wine aerated.
Drinking now with a short decant or give it another 5-8 years and it should be drinking spectacularly, IMO. I will be hard pressed to keep away from the remaining bottles.

March 2, 2023 - Popped and poured. No decant. Had with fish. this bottle took a little time to open up. When it did, It really was a brilliant and classic display of Hundred Acre. Tons of fruit on the nose and in the mouth. Finish was 45 seconds or longer. Velvety smooth but still packed some power. This vintage has easily 10-20 more years in the cellar. Tannins were smoothing out. Very enjoyable experience.

December 3, 2022 - Classic Hundred Acre. Long finish, deep dark look to it. Tannnins are very present and muted fruit. Came out as the night wore on. Really good with red meat tonight. Feel it could be even better in a few years!

February 15, 2022 - Full, smooth…borderline perfect. Just the right amount of tannins and balance. Ripe red fruits hint of tobacco.

January 8, 2022 - Pop and pour no decant. Best wine we’ve had in a while. Red fruit and flowers. Silky smooth and nice long finish. I think this wine is ready to drink now.

September 9, 2021 - BLIND REDS - Bordeaux varietals (mostly Napa and BDX) - Over/Under $100: Holy bajankers. This thing has a bigger nose than a Proboscis monkey munching on mound of blackberry pies. An instant expansion of ripe and ready mixed berries on the palate, with a powerful push of overwhelming blackberry and alcohol. There is focus and direction here, but it speeds off to the tail in rushed form, finishing with more unresolved booze and a fruity aftertaste. I was very surprised this was a 2012. I was very not surprised this was a Hundred Acre.

Continue to hold and hope the zany cocktail party calms down a bit. Right now, it’s the kind of wine you’d drink from the bottle on New Year’s Eve.

April 6, 2021 - Smokey white oak, eucalyptus, glycerine, licorice and cassis. Raspberry, tart red fruits, high alcohol but drinking very nicely. Easily 8+ years to go and this wine will surely add depth and layers, but really enjoying the lighter palate weight.

    p.s. leftovers

December 11, 2019 - Drinking so very well now. Smooth but still with enough grit to give the palate a good cleaning.
