Community Tasting Notes 10

August 16, 2023 - Surprisingly soft, round black cherry fruit with slight sweetness and very slight funk, excellent structure, ample finish, showed bottle age, tannins completely soft

January 14, 2023 - Excellent! strong aromas and flavors more red-fruited. M+ body and acidity. Decanted 2 hrs before, drank over 3 and it held up well and tasted steady throughout. This bottle didn't have the funk. (unfocused attention, hence lame TN.) My first Cayuse CS and it was impressive and could've lasted another 5 yrs, maybe more.

October 22, 2022 - Pnp. Plum and tart cherry. Hint of dark chocolate. Complex stemmy flavors. Devilishly good texture. Very long mouthcoating finish. I can’t get enough. I wish more winemakers would use less new oak on their cabs like this. I absolutely adore this wine.

October 17, 2022 - So unusual, unlike a Napa Cab. This is Washington State Cab topped wit4h a Cayuse tarpaulin. You'll know what I mean when you taste this. Ripe, maybe overripe, concentrated vegital fruit. Vegital? Yeah. Like this was made from some sort of green vegetable rather than from berries. Okay. Hard to describe. Different yet still really good.

October 4, 2021 - Delicious dark berries, earth, and floral notes with a bit of Cayuse funk on the nose and rich silky palate with resolving tannins on the long beautiful finish. Drinking superbly!
