April 6, 2022 - Beautiful scarlet red. Slightly muted nose, but a silky, bright palate of rasberry, earth, mushroom, oiled leather, rhubarb and barnyard. More weight than much Chiantis we try.

July 24, 2021 - Light garnet color. Crushed rock, rhubarb, orange zest with a lovely lead pencil. Incredible bright, lovey, graceful palate with some cassis and raspberry.
June 16, 2014 - Presentation of the Gran Selezione (The Carlu - Toronto, ON): Much more in the style I appreciate, though if maybe a tad simple. Nose is of tar, roasted meat, raspberry, red cherry and hints of leather. This falters just a bit on the palate with the finish coming across as somewhat short, tart and bitter.
