May 14, 2023 - Kind of a strange and disjointed wine. Initially it's all about high acidity and reddish fruits and then it just suddenly changes into a really overpowering roasted nut (walnut?) note that totally dominates the mid palate and finish. I usually like nuttiness but this was just too one-note. And the alcohol is hot on the palate. Moderate sweetness, not uber-concentrated. Not sure if this will improve much with further age.

April 24, 2023 - Opened my 4th bottle. This was heavily sedimented. Inky purple color. If you are looking for a Port that has a bite, this is not it. This showed rather smooth and elegant at this stage. Integrated tannins. Not of prunes, sweet blackberries and some smokiness. I really liked this. 92 points.
