December 20, 2019 - the lack of fruit, freshness and acidity especially compared to the bottle drunk just 1 month before (92-93) was disappointing.
lush body, signs of age, but cloying and off balance due to lack of acidity

January 1, 2019 - Quite a bit of residual sweetness here (the bottle says level 4 on Zind’s scale out of 5). This is a nice Gewurtz; lovely nose, typical lychee notes, fairly rich.

July 7, 2018 - Glad to report that this wine has been getting better with every year of additional age. Now the wine has leaped into much greater complexity and richness. Medium yellow and distinctively aromatic rose water and sweet spices. The sip features upfront sweetness, allspice, cinnamon, helpful acidity, and an oily texture which caresses the mouth. Terrific with spicy foods, green beans, and most vegetable dishes. Overall, at 6 years, the best yet and likely to keep getting even better.

May 13, 2018 - Typical Gewürztraminer nose of rose petals and other floral aromas, muscat spices and ripe lychees. On the palate very complex variety of intense flavors, the floral layers nicely paired with ripe exotic fruits and warm spices. It’s full bodied and there seems to be a bit of RS, yet it remains sufficiently fresh, particularly due to a balancing bitterness. Medium(+)-long and again very balanced finish despite the wealth of sweet flavors. As others remarked already, it’s perfect to indian curries.
