June 28, 2023 - Very much drinkable now, tannins well integrated, still lots of fruit and tertiary tones, long after taste

January 1, 2023 - Beau Cahors, ample et corsé
    mais fort complexe.
Fruits noirs et réglisse avec des tannins charnus.
    Long et bien persistant.
    Super bon.

November 13, 2022 - Good closure with minimal seepage. Dark garnet with a little brick around the edge and a clear rim. This producer does not filter so more a case of tannins combining with anthocyanins. Nose of leather and earth. Palate is really quite profound and elegant with a nod to Burgundy rather than Bordeaux. Delicious bramble and Liquorice with a hint of spice.. Long refreshing finish with the softest tannins. Bought from the chateau in 2016 and sadly the last of the case.

August 28, 2022 - Qualitative Cahors of a certain age should not be underestimated!
Would love to have boxes of this…what a drinking pleasure!!
Stable as from a better Bordeaux, cherry, cedar, licorice stick and pipe tobacco.
The tannins have softened and the alcohol stays at a pleasant 13%.

November 28, 2021 - Decanted two hours before dinner. Deep, dark color with bright purple edges, showing no sign of age. Modest aromas of plum, then deep flavors of blackberry, mulberry and plum, with red fruits on the finish. Very good acid backbone, modest tannins mostly in the background. Smooth, balanced wine, even if it is a bit simple. One of the best things about the wine is that it is only 13% alcohol, as wines of this style and level of extraction are often 14.5-15%. At nine years of age, this is still very young; drink 2025-2040. In the US this has a terrible QPR, it is much too expensive. In Europe it is still too expensive, but closer to its intrinsic value.

October 26, 2020 - A bit below my expections based on previous bottle. This bottle appeared a bit young and closed. Very dark purple in the glass, hardly any nose. On the palate a touch of fruit, but this is overshadowed by a strong acid backbone. I’ll give my last bottle 2 more years of age.

    August 11, 2020 - Served blind
Quite youthful appearance at 8 years, still inky purple. Light blackberry aromas
Rather soft feel at first without a ton of structure initially; I hard a hard time placing at first.
Quite enjoyable, I think this would definitely benefit from a bit more aging.
This firms up a bit in the glass with more air

June 1, 2020 - Dark purple in the glass without any signs of ageing. A limited nose. Lots of red fruit and herbs on the palate. The finish is very long, herbal and very smooth and velvety. Overall a very good structure with sufficient freshness. This is superb drinking in a great spot for drinking.
