May 25, 2021 - 2011 was a good year at the top of the mountain. A full bodied chewy wine with mucho fruit.

April 25, 2021 - Can't say 2011 rocks my world, but this wine is very very solid. Paired with a 2 inch ribeye. Fairly dense, rich complex fruit, benefits from air, lingers on the palate. One of the better 2011 wines I've had, but not a Parker 100 finesse wine.

May 16, 2020 - Really really needs to breathe. Initially gobs of alcohol and tannins, marginal fruit. After an hour or two becomes much more integrated with lots of dark fruit but still pretty high octane. Very new world. Nice wine. A tad expensive for what you get? It is an '11, so maybe the next few vintages will be better.

March 31, 2020 - Wasn't expecting much from the '11 vintage but was pleasantly surprised. A full-bodied dark wine with rich purple fruit. Didn't taste the ~15% alcohol. Better with food. Nice finish, a bit delicate.
