September 27, 2016 - Down to my second to last bottle, and for $9 on sale, this is my QPR wine of the year. Out of 2 cases, I had one (despite DIAM cork) that had TCA, but the others were just flat out delicious, always providing a fresh mixture of red (mostly) and (some) black berries that never failed to please on the nose and at the dinner table. I have been drinking this wine for 10+ years, it's always been a purchase between 1-3 cases per year, and this 2013 is as good as I can recall. A great wine to pour at a casual dinner (or lunch, gasp!) for your friends that have no/little experience with Italian wines; this Brigaldara is indeed a benchmark for quality and tradition, at this price level and beyond. 13,0% abv., just as good on night 2 as it was when first opened. recommended

Served non-blind; I love the range/versatility this offers for food pairing

August 1, 2016 - Transparent ruby. Nose of lavender and smoke. Medium body. Nice acidity. Pleasant.

June 25, 2016 - consistent with prior bottles, which is to say this has a lot of bottle variation - from good to very good, and lots in between. But, when it's on, it's really on. Today's bottle, just so-so, but easily worth the $10 paid. 13,0% abv., recommended

Slow-o 1 hr, served non-blind; probably best to aerate in decanter, then server after 30 minutes.

June 24, 2016 - TCA and a Diam cork, how unlucky

October 11, 2015 - the 2012 was better than the 2013 - the 2013 is drinking well as could be - still looking for a home run valpolicella to offset the clamor for chiantis from our colleagues who do not want to know any better...the Brigaldara will do in a pinch and the price is right!!!
