February 15, 2020 - Wanted to love it. Didn’t. Neither fish nor fowl. Never came out of its shell. Perhaps a bad window.

January 12, 2020 - Purchased from winery 3 months ago- needs one hour in the glass. Full bodied, concentrated and well balanced- overtly new world, pleasant. Will hold for a while. No rush.

December 23, 2019 - Picked up some of these from that sweet surprise Black Friday offer from Hanzell. This shows quite fresh and dense. Barely a touch of maturity coming around. It's very focused giving it a quality that would almost fool some folks into White Burg blind. Not much in the way of flashy tropical fruits here. A fantastic Chard expression with a concentrated acidic core. In a solid spot now and good for at least another decade or more.

November 30, 2019 - Medium pale to medium yellow, looks much younger than it is - nose is quite expressive, leesy, pure - palate is exceptional, perfectly balanced, seamless, resonant, long, elegant - laser focused and very pure, with the perfect frame of oak. Really like this!

palate is exceptional, perfectly balanced, perfectly framed oak, seamless, pure, resonant, long, elegent - impeccable and pure

November 22, 2019 - Tasted blind. Citrus and stone fruit, a bit bee wax and lanolin. Reminded me more of an aged Riesling initially. But the dense palate and slightly creamy texture were clearly more typical for a chard. Over time oak flavours became more distinct. A nice Sonoma chard and bottle age clearly helping here. But lacking purity and freshness.
