February 20, 2019 - In which it is demonstrated (yet again) that Forst is the qualitative and stylistic equivalent in Riesling of Vosne-Romanée. From the second or third greatest vineyard in Forst, this wine shows plenty of sensual apricot and peach fruit with great smoothness to the texture but still with enough acidity to hold everything together. I guess one could comment that there is some sweetness here, but the acidity is so perfectly balanced with the sugar and both integrated with the fruit that one doesn't even notice. But be sure not to serve this wine too cold (cellar temperature is best) and decant an hour or two before serving.

November 22, 2016 - Medium gold with complex nose of yellow fruits and lime peel. A shockingly good bottle. The palate is a melange of yellow fruits - golden delicious apple, baked apple, peach, and lime. A touch sweet for a Spät, there's plenty of acidity to counterbalance the sugar. Good concentration and expansive on the palate. The finish lingers in the most delightful way. My first go round with this producer; simply delicious.

June 15, 2004 - Very floral and sweet ripe nose. Full body and tropical fruit tastes; sweet but with excellent balancing acidity.
