October 29, 2020 - 2nd note -- consistant with first, and still youthful. Could pop-and-pour today or wait a decade. A singular and remarkable wine.

November 21, 2017 - PnP at restaurant, drank over 2 hours. Earth, olive, black fruit abound on the nose. Palate is rich with bright & tart berries, iron, bramble, orange peel, stems, juicy acidity, and plenty of depth. Chalky mouthfeel. Powerful length. Tannic today, but fine with air -- will develop even more complexity later.
In 4-6 years this will be a stunning for at least a decade. Easily in the Hermitage weight class. Syrah co-fermented with Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot (Roussanne as well?). Bottle #382 of 1200. 2009 was the final vintage. Highly recommend.1 person found this helpful Comment -
