October 14, 2023 - My one bottle, bought on release from Garnet wines ($42) and brought to a wonderful dinner with other extraordinary wines. The Juge was paired with a 2004 Verset Cornas, which was quite a pairing! Decanted for about 30m before serving.

Classic Juge that showed great straight out of the gate. Huge violet nose with streaks of green and ash notes, haunting spices, and a fleeting lactic note that dissipated with air. Early prime time on the palate, cool granite delineation of the densely juicy core of fruit that fanned out with a smoky brine. This gained in intensity in the glass - just a lovely wine. I'd say this has years to go but it's showing so damn well now.

May 11, 2020 - 2010 Marcel Juge! One of my favorite juges. The combination of cool acid, feral notes, bold and exciting fruit wrapped up in a shimmering robe of spice and resolved tannin. It’s simply unique from the other ones due to how bright and lively the wine is while still showing the secondary meaty and spiced tones of cornas. Yum yum. Been drinking these too often. Gotta start holding off

May 7, 2020 - Part of @clayfu.wine weekly party box.
    Ranking from initial taste was 12, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15.
    Ranking at end of the night was 14, 10, 13, 11, 12,15.

2010 - Beautiful out of the gate, and stayed gorgeous. High acid, red fruit, earth, violet, amazing extended finish. Deliciousness.

April 25, 2020 - Remote Tasting #4 - Marcel Juge '10-'15 Vertical (Zoom): Quick note from memory - wine was very balanced, great purity of fruit, and firing on all cylinders easily in the top 2 of the night out of the '10-'15 vertical.

August 5, 2019 - Out of town friends @ Republique; 7/31/2019-8/6/2019: quintessential peak Juge to me. It shows the balance and almost Burgundian mark that Juge has with Syrah. Ample acidity, supple bright red fruit that’s long and spice laden into the finish. Utterly balanced and dripping with a savory cool back end. The nose is all wild fruit, herbs and meat.
