March 23, 2019 - Okay, but a little too old. Still drinkable, but a bit tart.

February 13, 2017 - It is getting a little old. Slightly woody. Still has some good fruit, but not enough.

December 27, 2016 - Significant complexity but a bit too much oak for me. But for $20...no regrets.

June 22, 2016 - The light color hides this wine's explosive character. Add your favorite ripe Chardonnay descriptor here _______. You're all correct. The moderate acidity keeps this in the game but my preferences have definitely changed. Anyone care to trade a Puligny-Montrachet or Chassagne-Montrachet for my remaining bottle......

Last glass addendum: much more balanced. I guess a little air and food is (are?) needed.

March 29, 2016 - My last bottle of the 2011. The golden color has deepened just a bit and has a nice sheen. Ripe tropical fruit and some oak on the nose. The fruit has held nicely with moderate acidity and the oak very much in the background. Still quite enjoyable.

August 16, 2014 - A light touch with modest richness, nicely balanced fruit, good acidity, modest oak. Should still improve.

June 27, 2014 - Soft, olive flavors, hit of horseradish on the nose. let it warm up as it's far too subtle for chilled drinking.

June 3, 2013 - big and rich. A bit overwhelming, but excellent. Lemon and acid support round malolactic goodness.

April 19, 2013 - Dinner with Friends (E & S Fish Company, St. Charles): Opened by Rick & Cris. Pale color. Aromas of coconut, banana and apple with a nice dose of oak. Medium- to full-bodied, coconut milk, white fruit, toast and oak with a clove-like quality on the finish. The oak is well-used here. Very nice.

April 2, 2013 - Granny Smith and honeysuckle on the nose. Nice light toast and pear that transitions into nice mineral on the finish. Overall very nice chard that should only improve over the next few years. I will be waiting a while to open the next one.
