March 18, 2015 - PnP'd. Very nice balance. Theres enough flavor to impress the New World and enough structure to satisfy the Old. May do better with a little time. Average finish. Good QPR. Nice find for me. P.S. I've upped the score a point based on on Day 2. The dark berries and floral notes really jumped out.

February 1, 2015 - Unscrewed & smelled some reductive quality, so put the cap back on gave it a shake & then poured out two glasses for almost an hour before serving. Opaque almost pitch black core with a violet rim. The nose has beautiful black pepper & plum aromatics. Full bodied with great concentration. Layers of fruit wash over the palate. Very bright on the initial sip with red fruited notes before the more brooding character moves in on the mid palate. Wonderfully structured. Acid/tannin/fruit in harmony. The black pepper component lingers on the finish. A perfect pairing with steak au poivre. Amazing.

December 23, 2014 - Confident, friendly, balanced, and tantalizing, this is fast flowing and beautifully nuanced for a young wine. Seriously why wait.

December 2, 2014 - Decanted 45 mins. ahead. Medium-deep garnet color with flashes of purple. Nice nose that includes cherries, hard spices, and even floral notes. Tart plums take the lead on the palate, followed by the spicy tones. Medium-bodied, with quite lively acidity; even very lively acidity. The finish is grippy, with light to medium tannins. This wine is intriguing and fragrant now, but I think it could be better in a few years when the acids have smoothed out a bit; I wish I had some to lay down (or stand up, because it's sealed w/ a screw cap).
