September 21, 2018 - Pale amber-brown; past it's prime with wet leaves earth and must but also a hint of sweet fruit. Tannins resolved leaving a nuance of bruised strawberry and old cherry with the faded earth tones. Interesting.

February 28, 2017 - very well aged wine! ruby red in color, sweet, plummy and mellowed...

November 11, 2016 - Served from Magnum bottle. Beautifully aged notes of red fruit, mushrooms, truffle, some tobacco, graphite, tar, leather, menthol and some violets. It's medium-full bodied and has still medium+ acidity and medium super silky tannin. Excellent length. A super impressive and beautifully aged Brunate that nicely reflects the notes usually associated with this prestigious Cru. In a perfect place right now. (95+)

December 15, 2015 - Barolo - BYO blind: No formal notes, but this was one of the best wines of the night.

    December 30, 2014 - 1985 Barolo Brunate : Ceretto (Bricco Rocche)

Pop-up and pour, bright ruby, clear and transparent like Burgundy. The nose is clean fresh. (cork is very clean @ 29 years old.) Very classic scent of Barolo, very nice for the Christmas feeling. Acidity and Tannin structure confirmed the great vintage character. This is just the beginning of its maturity and still have a long way to go, 20-30 years ahead. A really nice bottle.

    92/100

ps. Better drink with Burgundy glass.
