May 7, 2022 - Quite a dark colour in the decanter, with a darker fruit profile. On the palate I also found dark fruits, with cedar wood, dark chocolate, and after a few hours a distinct cola finish, with chalky tannins (somewhere closer to Cabernet in style than what I'm used to with Nebbiolo). Quite a 'big' wine, with not-quite-enough acidity to carry the tannins.
I don't doubt this is a well-made wine, but it just isn't my style of Barolo/Nebbiolo at all I'm afraid. -

February 18, 2022 - A flawless example of a 2010 Barolo. Nose has a hint of pungent small with a complex variety of scents. Body is full and dry, medium tanin. Flavor is excellent and balanced, mineral and tanin notes up front with a berry sweetness on the very short finish. Buy one and buy all you can find.
