March 14, 2019 - Dream Big - California Wine Tasting (Stockholm, Sweden): Slender, savory, light bodied easy going pinot.

May 31, 2018 - This wine is translucent, medium ruby in color. The nose has cherry in a slightly medicinal overtone along with a little toasty oak and vanilla. Tannin is low to moderate with bright, firm acidity that I would characterize as between Cali Pinot and Oregon Pinot and medium+ish. Plenty of life left in this. Flavors include cherry, smoke, cranberry, flint and a long layered finish. This leans much more toward Oregon and Burgundy in style rather than Cali and that may be a positive or a negative depending on your preferences. For me it’s a positive.

March 12, 2018 - Nice but not outstanding.

January 13, 2018 - Cherry, spice and mineral flavor.

December 29, 2017 - Cellared at 55 but did not hold up. Upon opening I noticed a ruddy brick color as if it were a much older wine. It was drinkable but just not at all enjoyable. The 2011 I opened earlier this year had a similar appearance and taste. The Sinskey pinot noirs just are not doing it for me - and especially not at their price. Not that 5 years is that old - I would have expected much better. These wines must be meant to be consumed very young. Drink up (or pour down the drain).
