August 2, 2020 - See several previous notes. Held up great over time. QPR wine of the decade, this was for real. Less green pepper on this final bottle, still some nice blackberry fruit, a little tobacco, eucalyptus, and that dustiness of Rutherford. This wine alone would bring me back to World Market. 90-91 pts.

August 29, 2018 - This is still holding up really well, especially given its price point. Excellent QPR. A tad more green pepper than I'd prefer, but still plenty of fruit and that bit of chalkiness that Rutherford is known for. What a steal. 89-90 pts.

September 20, 2015 - Still drinking very well - you would be hard-pressed to distinguish this bottle from any $40-$50 Rutherford dust offering. Alas, this is our last bottle and I'm not sure that we will find more. Bravo to those CT'ers who bought by the case at a World Market. I am still curious whose grapes went into this tremendous value buy. Does anyone know?

August 24, 2015 - A lot of green pepper on this bottle. Even on day 2.

August 23, 2015 - Nose: muted fruit (blackberry and some black currant?), but lots of interesting aromatics including earthy, mushroom, green pepper
    Palate: currant, eucalyptus, green pepper
Can't believe this is this so inexpensive. Great QPR. I wonder if it will even improve in a non-2011 year

August 15, 2015 - Nose: earthy, green pepper, blackberry. Really nice, good complexity.
Palate: herbal, green pepper, eucalyptus, some blackberry, a little tobacco (leaf in mouth, pipe on the long finish). Green pepper certainly more noticeable here, but that's 2011 for ya. 90 pts.

May 22, 2015 - Please see previous note from 5/14/15, and add a little oak and a touch of green pepper to the nose this time. Perhaps a slightly thinner feel this bottle, but still elegant, delicious, and a crazy qpr. 91 pts.

May 14, 2015 - Notes on day 3. This gets better each day. New World Cali Cab for sure!
Nose: Plenty of cherry, ripe and juicy, and currant, along with some leather, some tobacco, a little vanilla, and mulling spices. Really a beautifully elegant nose! Palate matches well, and add a little plum. AND it has a touch of that dustiness Rutherford is so well known for. While fruit forward, it finishes with far more complexity and layers, with a long lingering finish. You could've told me this was a $50 Cab and I wouldn't have blinked. I am incredibly impressed, went back for 6 more and got them for $10.52 per bottle! Unbelievable. Not sure if I've ever bought such a serious bottle at such a ridiculous price. Would love to know whose juice this is, and who produced this for World Market. This will turn out to be the surprise find of 2015, no doubt. 91-92 pts.

January 28, 2015 - This World Market Rutherford cab is the real deal. It has nice red and black fruits, soft tannins and that mocha-cocoa powder "dust" on the finish. All of these flavors are integrated and the wine is drinking very well right now. This is probably the finest Napa cab I have had at the under-$15 price point - will be buying more bottles very soon.
