May 31, 2015 - Nose: Plum, Black Cherry, Clove and Sweet Oak that gets more interesting as it unfolds. Palate: Silky right out of the gate with dark fruit, eucalyptus, cocoa, minerals, spice and some heat. Sweet soil notes with Plum, Licorice and Cherry fruit make this great. Finish: Moderate and showing some drying tannin/oak. This detracts from its future agability in some ways.

Definitely showed the best of three bottles, but given its neighbors (DA, Ovid, etc.) I had expected more in this window (8-10 years).

September 21, 2014 - This wine is really coming into its own. Open, rich and has gained weight since last time I had it a couple of years ago.

May 12, 2013 - Dark fruit with cedar, oak and leather. Poured a glass out of the shoot. Nice subtle bouquet. After several hours in the decanter it opened up nicely. Nice acidity, and balance.

May 11, 2013 - Flavors could be a little more integrated, but nice depth of flavor with a solid finish and the right amount of oak. I haven't hit much green in this, as others have referenced.

December 17, 2012 - Dry, green, bright and sharp, the wine ends with a tart, red berry finish. This is clearly not my style of wine.

August 28, 2011 - Nose: Black Cherry, Red Currant, Cocoa Powder, Sage and a hint of licorice. Palate: Very strong entry with Blackberry, Cherry, Graphite, Cocoa and Kirsch. Very nice midpalate that is well constructed and has sweet fruit backed by a solid structure. Tanins are beignning to subside. Finsih: Long with a nice notion of Pritchard Hill. Shows off its vineyard pedigree very well.

Significantly better than the last bottle. Variation here?

November 7, 2010 - ERI November Auction and Tasting (Union League Club of Chicago): What a difference a year makes. This is much better wine. Tannins are sweet and round. Nice acidity, and the fruit integrates well. This is too young to judge well, but when it calms down in a couple years, will probably be quite good.

November 5, 2010 - Nose: Nice Wild Berry, Strawberry, and Red Fruits. Shows some toasted oak and charcoal. Palate: Middle weight with Red Cherry fruit dominating. Licorice and sweet cassis come in late with some coffee and dry cocoa. Finish: Well resolved and silky tanins give way to a nicely polished finish. A nice cab blend, but un distinguished from others at the price point.
