September 12, 2019 - Three Wines From Three Continents (Private Event): Decanted for air, returned to bottle prior to travel to a tasting. One of three Chards from around the world. The wine is a light to medium lemon yellow with a slight green tinge and no sign of oxidation. The nose is lightly floral (peonies and lemon blossoms), slightly smokey, citrusy and with noticeable wet stones. Bright acidity keeps this fresh and lively with lime, white peach and pear on the palate. Finish is long, minerally and saline with a distinct burnt sugar and hazelnut flavor that lingers for 30-45 seconds. Beautifully balanced, bright and energetic but a bit more lean than the other two wines in the flight. Better with food.
P.s. This was particularly good with the shrimp salad which featured golden beets and tangerine that really was a nearly perfect combination and overall was just getting better and better as it got more air. Score raised from 93 upon decanting to 95 after the actual tasting. The majority of the attendees chose this as their best Chard/food in this flight and perhaps the entire event.

September 13, 2016 - (Brief notes from "Sortimentsprovning at Barsac Wine Bar, Gothenburg with Prästgårdens Vinhandel, Portofolio Wines, Wine Waves, Armano's Wine, Fine Wines Sweden and I Vino dello Stivale")

Youthful nose with medium(+) intensity. Tropical fruits, white peach, yellow apple, butter, toasted nuts, crushed stones, baking spice and creamy oak.

Medium bodied with medium(+) acidity. Medium(+) intensity of flavors. Lush and creamy on the palate with great balance between really ripe fruit and piercing acidity. Generous but well balanced oak-treatment. Long finish.

This one could easily be taken for some more noble origin. Really classic white Burg and a steal at just under €30.
