    October 28, 2019 - Enjoyed this over 5 years from my mothers 80th to her 85th. Exceptional! Even better today than the day we opened the bottle.

    December 16, 2018 - Intense, candied wine. Far sweeter than any thing I've had, like melted Werther's sweet, but incredibly long and layered as well. Deep, smokey, aromatic herbs, caramel and cacao, dried dark fruits. Very interesting, but not something I will seek out again, especially for that price.

    August 25, 2018 - Well, this was a showstopper. Incredibly dark in colour, with both the appearance and consistency of motor oil, and phenomenal depth here. It's impossible to catalogue the full range of flavour here, from figgy and nutty sherried notes to sweeter caramel and dark chocolate, and then other herbal and more savoury elements. It's immensely sweet, but also really well balanced with powerful acids and a finish that feels endless. Just an incredibly complex wine and a pleasure to sit down with at the end of the night.

    August 23, 2016 - Same bottle as my previous tasting note. Opaque brown. Coffee, chocolate, figs on the nose. Fig tart on the palate, sweet and dense but not cloying, a lightening of acid, long reverberating finish. Still lovely, maybe not quite what it was when opened two months ago. 50 + 18 + 17 + 9.

    June 19, 2016 - Yellow ruby brown. On the nose a heady emotional mix of coffee, chocolate, prunes, raisins, and salt caramel. On the palate a deep penetrating elixir, like drinking the purest maple syrup with its edgy sappy notes, acid sinews completely in control, warm melange of back aromas shifting on the long kaleidoscopic finish. Perfect with syrup soaked raspberries, soaked with aged pleasure. A wine that you breathe as much as you taste. 50 + 18 + 19 + 10.
