March 26, 2020 - Medium garnet in color, medium clarity. Clean nose, notes of cranberry, cherry, wet forest, wet stones.
Dry, light and lean but assertive on the palate. Red fruit flavors with a bit of prune and black olive. Acidity is medium plus. Reminds me of old world tempranillo and/or Alto Piemonte nebbiolo. Tannins are a bit dusty on the crisp and medium finish.

December 20, 2018 - Tea, orange blossom, lemon peel and spices. Light and delicate but with som firmness on the finish. Definately not middle of the road at this age, but highly personal and very nice to drink. COS feels like a producer that doesn’t get the attention they deserve.

January 26, 2018 - PnP with lamb chops. Delightfully floral with very fine tannins still present. Light weight. 40/60 frappato/Nero d’avola. 12%

October 20, 2017 - Light and lively wine. Red fruit with a little herbal twigginess, mostly on the finish. Went very well with my version of Trapani pesto.

March 19, 2017 - Popped 'N Poured in a restaurant. Consistent with my previous bottles, no real tannins, and its almost Pinot Noir like in its lightness.

    March 18, 2017 - Nero d'Avola and Frappato.

Energetic and bright aromatics, cherry and earth notes, some rose petals, beautiful. Light bodied on entry, surprising tannins on the midpalate, red berries and earth. Seemed a touch acidic on opening, however everything melded together nicely with 10 minutes of air.

Obvious care and quality behind the winemaking. Didn't seem overly complex, rather a refined and balanced everyday-drinking wine.

December 22, 2016 - Bright ruby colour. Beautiful nose of earth, smoke, red flowers, red berry and herbs. Could easily identify Frappato grape in the blend because of its distinctive red floral aroma and light body character. The smoky earthy nose also reflected the terrior of volcanic soil. Good fruity raspberry, red berry, tomato taste. Very smooth and easy drinking. Not much complexity. I liked its freshness and pure natural red fruit taste with bright acidity. The body was light to medium but the tannin from Nero d'Avola was still enough to give solid structure. Good balanced blend of Frappato and Nero d'Avola. Good with food. Drink now and best within next 2 years.

December 17, 2016 - I had this with a spicy Jambalaya dinner, and it worked really well. Nothing new to add to my previous comments on this wine.
