June 19, 2021 - Deep to opaque ruby-black to rim.
Gorgeous lifted aromas of baking spice, oak mocha notes and super-ripe black fruits. Heady and enthralling.
Full-bodied, the entry reveals a penetrating depth of fruit with blackcurrant, blackberry and freshly picked blueberries intermingling with oodles of new wood. Rich, inky and concentrated, the wine has a plum skin texture well integrated but sweet glycerol alcohol (hefty 15.5%)
Plenty of stuffing to fill out the mid-palate, yet with a surprising purity (high alt?). Oak spices, mocha and dark bitter chocolate (90%) join the back palate of this modern-framed wine that exhibits a remarkable lightness of touch! -
