Community Tasting Notes 7

December 19, 2021 - leafy dark savoury leather, dark florals, chockfuls of chook poo, fresh tar, sweetness and orange peel. Nicely resolved, drinking beautifully, savoury, with easy balance and concentration. Everything is well resolved and focused - drink!

June 14, 2020 - Drunk in winter so temperature plays at factor in aroma and structure -taste. Very little aroma even with 1 hour decant.
Its 7 years old now and showing its age.
Its very lean and a bit thin and almost no structure.
There is a hint of barnyard and sour cherries.
If anyone has a bottle suggest drink now as its fruit is almost gone and their not a lot structure to hold wine together.

June 13, 2017 - (random mid-week) initial pnp: woah dark broody forest pong and barnyard, burnt stalks and even fused capacitor. Palate has bright acidity, high umami, and soft leather, with graphite on the finish. With time in glass, dark florals, and exotic spice emerge, along with some pinot perfume. Pretty and concentrated, with a dusting of wet earth. Rather 'poster color' on its finish, and a strange disconcerting bitter which disappears with time (or food).

October 23, 2015 - (elaine@burp) lovely damp forest floor, mossy, clean spices, sour cherry and raspberry. Concentrated mushroom bouillon and some seductive green spices. Took some time to open up, but paired nicely with our roast beef, spinach and mushrooms! Developing nicely, with acid starting to integrate. Looking good.

June 16, 2015 - (Dinner w Sam&Charmaine with Anna) Initially quiet, taking time to really bloom in glass, showing linear graphite, ribena, bitter cherry, pastille, violets, soft stems, dark florals, licorice, herbs, velvet tannins. Still very young, but drinking. Beautiful with Charmaine's incredible crackling pork belly!
