September 17, 2020 - Ruby fading to crimson: rim appropriate for age. Excellent clarity. Aromas are earth dominant: forest floor, mushroom, even barnyard. Raspberry, cherry clearly present. Just hints of cinnamon, clove, light toast. Doesn't seem as if this wine saw a lot of oak aging. On the palate, the earthiness is more clear and others about the same. Medium legs, medium body, medium plus finish, medium plus acidity. Texture is polished & smooth. Impression: somewhat varietally correct but clear presence of spices is lacking. Still, the complexity is there due to the earthiness. At $32 with tax & shipping, QPR clearly below average. Would repurchase at <$20. Screwcap. Drink now.

April 21, 2016 - Reminds me of a mid-range Central Coast Pinot, like Melville Verna's, for example. Black cherry, cola, subtle funk. Med/full bodied with some acidity lurking in the background. Not wholly elegant, but has definite typicity for Pacific coast Pinot, just from the southern hemisphere.

March 14, 2016 - Black cherry and plums with a little cocoa and spice. Pretty good length. Not great, but solid. Had at Astrid & Gaston in Bogota, which is fantastic.
