October 5, 2021 - Serious, a bit tight, oak well judged. Very much a white Bordeaux. Impressive.

    Drink over the next decade.

    12.5%, screwcap

September 3, 2021 - This is a pretty serious wine for ~30 bucks. Previously quite tightly wound, this is now much less austere. Oak remains prominent (87% matured for 5 months in 62% new oak), but has definitely softened in recent years. From the Australian home of the Bordeaux blend, 71% SB and 29% Sem. Natural yeasts and minimal fining give this a lovely texture. A food wine, needing tonights crumbed fish and chips (confirmed by my wife, who was at least moderately impressed). 12.5% ABV. Many years ahead still, but in its window now. 91+.

July 4, 2016 - Deep lemon color. Medium nose of citrus, stone fruits, white flowers and slight honey. Dry, medium bodied, balanced with medium acidity. Medium plus intensity flavors. Good for weekday drinking.

May 2, 2016 - By the glass at the BA lounge Singapore. Fresh bottle.
Quite light on the nose, light floral at time. No oak on nose but light oaky feel on the palate, decent weight from the semillon, good acidity and focus too. Young still and full of tension, good acidity but dare we say this wine is a bit under oaked and could have used a bit of palate balance. 87 at this stage.
