May 8, 2024 - Popped and poured. This is beautiful out of the box. Lovely floral, cherry nose wafts up from the glass. The palate shows very fresh, strawberry, raspberry, jolly rancher herbs and a little spice. Excellent acidity and balance. Premier cru depth. This is really delivering right now.

April 12, 2024 - Wow this is pretty. A bursting bowl of strawberries, cherries, violets, over the forest floor. Med- weight but deep and resonant, crammed with more fruit, starting to develop and wide open. Very good balance, and yes, showing the high acid of the vintage in long tart finish. I love this style, Fourrier finds his way in a wide variety of vintages. Still a lovely Gevrey. Outstanding.

March 25, 2024 - Very good for the vintage. Very nice fresh red fruit and florals, but also some tertiary earthy notes coming trough. Very nicely balanced.

November 1, 2023 - Drinking very well right now. Excellent nose, great depth of fruit. Long finish. Fruit forward. Has time left. Not clear how much complexity will develop with time.

July 19, 2023 - attractive nose, quite pure Pinot. Some sweetness. Just hints of animale Gevrey-Chambertin. Tiny bit dry at the end.

May 8, 2023 - Really really good and I think won’t get better. It needs a good 2-3h of slow ox after opening to show itself. Pure pinot at its finest on nose and palate - yes not the most grandiose of terroirs compared to other bottling but so satisfying.

April 18, 2023 - Wine from dinner courtesy of Asparagus. Drank in Grassl Cru.
Appearance cloudy from bottom part of bottle, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose medium+ intensity, with initial blast of high toned florals that fades off, perfumy dark red cherries. Developed.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), medium- tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweetish dark red cherries, cola, salty savoury earth with mineral edge. Medium+ finish.
Methinks drinking as good as it gets probably already. Will drink up my last remaining bottle sometime later this year.

October 29, 2022 - Always a favourite with both of us. Acid and crunch balanced by velvetyness. Fruit tending darker as this ages.

September 23, 2022 - Neighborhood friends late night at Maison Dakota. Drank in Grassl Cru.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour with watery rim. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of perfumed dark red cherries, high-toned red florals. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), melted tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweetish dark red cherries, salty savoury earth + minerals, slight cola background. Gevrey muscle meat with more air. Long finish.
Very good quality. A very nice 2013 drinking well now.
