April 30, 2016 - Blind tasting, sensationell nose, spicy, extract sweetness, good length, not typical Bordeaux notes in nose and palate, nobody in this group guessed Ch. Musar, great length, ripe tannins and a still refreshing acidity, 95-96

November 5, 2015 - WCC Blind Tasting of Chateau Musar and Chateau Montrose (Salty's Pub & Bistro, Clifton Park, NY): [Double decanted for one hour the previous evening.] Dirty, mulchy, dried up old wine. Drink up, with far less decant. Group WOTN. Go figure.

April 10, 2011 - Tasted at the Sampler. Smooth and complex - this has clearly aged well. Forrest floor aromas and herbs.

October 4, 2009 - (Tasted at The Sampler). Limpid garnet/brick. Very restrained nose - its more the echo of fruit than fruit; no VA. Beautifully shaped through the palate with perfect balance and weight; it has that way of searching out areas of the mouth and filling them with its presence in slightly different and modulating ways. Aromatically very light - it doesn't feel lacking though. Perhaps best described as giving "heavy hints" rather than actual fruit, spice etc. Long.
