December 23, 2020 - Surprisingly good, smooth red fruit filled wine
November 11, 2020 - Fun bottle of wine but only for the fruit component.
Consumed over two days.
Day 1. This is pure strawberry jam. Just delicious bright luscious fruit bordering on being over the top but just reined in enough to be a serious wine. 92 points for the joy of the simple Delicious life.
Day 2-well, the fruit dissipated overnight. Now it’s lack of structure is more apparent much more simplistic. Still enjoable but the thrill of the bright strawberry fruit is gone leaving a somewhat hollow finish, but it’s still a joy to drink.
Overall a 91. Drink now and drink the entire bottle at one sitting.
April 9, 2020 - Decanted for 30 minutes. Black cherry, black raspberry, spice and earth aromas and flavors. Rich, ripe and layered with good depth. Long finish. Medium bodied. Served with grilled sockeye salmon.
December 16, 2018 - Bright ruby. Medium to full bodied style. Expressive cranberry and Bing cherry fruit. Not overtly sweet. Nicely balanced, and a pleasure to drink now.
November 16, 2018 - Popped and poured. Black cherry, vanilla cola, earth and spice. Well balanced with a long finish. Medium bodied. Served with a garlic hummus, eggplant flatbread.
July 22, 2018 - A little darker fruited than last bottle 2 years ago. Very silky and lighter bodied with a touch of green tea leaves and cola on the finish. Nicely balanced.
June 6, 2018 - Tannins are resolved and fruit is rich and inviting. Not entirely complex wine but gives satisfaction with the clarity of fruit and sweetness of vanilla. I don't see aging this wine as being beneficial.....
February 23, 2018 - First time trying any ancillary pinots.dark fruit w
October 3, 2017 - Sweet red fruit nose, slightly herbal. Nice texture with soft cherry, cola flavors, a little syrupy, and a hint of bite on the back palate. Somewhat enjoyable but not deep or complex. Maybe better in a couple hours.
September 24, 2017 - Corked - and that's a damn shame since we brought it with us on Anniversary Weekend in Paso Robles.
At least there's plenty of good wine in the neighborhood.
