January 13, 2015 - 30-60 minutes of air helps this wine open up. Strawberry, black cherry, earth, cherry, a little cocoa powder, and flowers on the nose. Tart cherry, black and red cherry, earth, and flowers on the palate. Decent acidity, moderately firm but accessible tannins, okay finish. Light, slightly dilute mid-palate. This wine grew on me the longer it sat. It's not clear to me that I would identify this as nebbiolo in a blind tasting, but it was not bad for an inexpensive wine.
