Intense aromas, well-marked oxidation.
Bread loaf. Iodine. Cheese. Beewax. Ripe, sweet apple on the palate.
Refreshing acidity.
This new version of "Trio" cuvée - "Trio S".
'S' stands for Solera. Solera since 1998. Base 2010, bottled 2011, disg.2017. Blend of three grapes, but Meunier dominant (60%), PN (30%), CH (10%). -

Solera style ("trio s")
A touch of color: medium yellow, reflections of gold.
Savory and slightly animal nose.
Has oak influence - slight hazelnut buttercream. Bit of toast on the palate.
Dry - maybe 3-4g RS?
High acid (slightly on the high- side, as Meunier has lower acid).
Savory and developed. I like it, but not a lot of fruit. There's a deepness to this, probably from a combination of meunier and solera aging. Has some beeswaxy development.
Softer acidity and a brown, mushroomy character - apparently this is characteristic of meunier.
