September 7, 2020 - A lovely Barolo, smooth and nice body.

April 24, 2020 - Ready to go on PnP. Dark brick red fading to clear on the edges. Aromatically fairly open with notes of soil, fresh berries, and a touch of varnish. The palate is soft and envelopes with sappy cherries and compote while still being fresh. Only after some air to you find out there are indeed ferocious tannins lurking but completely burried by that fruit, as if each tannin is buffered by a cherry gel that slowly melts away. Still fairly primary but delicious. The first '10 I've popped, so don't know if this is generous in fruit for the vintage (could be).

A lovely young bottle of wine with years ahead, but drinking well now. I prefer to serve on the cold side, start at cellar temp of 55 F and warm from there. 92+

December 13, 2019 - Deep, classic nose. Mature cherries, rosehip, dried roses, herbs of various kind, salvia for ex, liquorice. Powerful with a sense of alcohol in the background. Serious.
Finding some early maturity notes on the palate. Juicy tannins, slightly polished but still firm and persistent. Good quality. High acidity, got everything you could ask for, and expect, in a vintage such as 2010. Long aftertaste with deep notes and a touch of menthol. A tiny bit of alcohol coming through on the palate as well but I think that will be fully integrated in 10-15 years or so. At this stage, that's the only drawback from this solid and super traditional Cannubi.

May 29, 2019 - Mixed WTDS at Ciao Bella (Ciao Bella, Mpls): Dark red color. Drank a glass over 45 minutes. I think this just had the cork pulled and then replaced. Nice purity, bright red fruits, lovely.
