January 15, 2021 - Beautiful. Tastes like an old wine of course (you know, the port like taste). Still has tannins and a rich flavor. Yum.
December 6, 2020 - Bad. Aged out. Waited too long, lost our investment in some quality wines.
March 27, 2016 - This guy was kicking off the sediment. No issue as it stuck to the side of the bottle. Slight bricking which is to be expected. Ripe dark plum nose. Fruit forward. Palate was smooth and dark ripe plum pushing the prune envelope. Fine tannins and cassis surrounding the oak and cocoa notes. The dry leather influence adds to the "age". Not the best qpr but enjoyable. In the 89-90 range for point hunters.

October 28, 2014 - Maybe 93 plus or 94. Drinking great right now and certainly not tired at all. Probably a handful more good years in this wine. Tannins were well integrated and the overall structure was great. Went awesome with Prime Rib-eyes and good friends last Saturday night.
June 12, 2014 - Still drinking nicely, not at all past its peak. Tannins still evident but well integrated at this point. Still another 3-5 years left in it.
April 11, 2014 - Rich, rich nose -- scents of blackberry/boysenberry pie, with notes of chocolate, lavendar, and new leather. Still big and fruit forward on the palate -- fruit shades more to the red fruit side of the spectrum (cassis, even cranberry), with notes of chocolate covered cherries. Tannins still in evidence, long finish. Nice.
September 15, 2013 - Dark garnet red, barely translucent with a fair amount of sediment. Strong black fruit, cassis, and spice on the nose. Powerful black fruit on the palate, rich and full bodied, with a great balance of acidity and sweetness. Tremendous depth of flavor and a long balanced finish. This was a 375ml bottle of the 2003, probably cellared fairly well, and it was right at its peak... so I'm guessing a 750ml will be entering its peak about now and should go for another 5-7 year. So drink 2013-2020.
August 30, 2013 - tasted like I opened the bottle a couple years too late... lots of fruit, but the sweetness seemed to overpower the tannins. Drink now or...
