July 5, 2018 - Not much has changed with this wine since March. “Deep” is the optimal word for this wine. Its color is a deep straw. The nose is a deep wafting Asian pear, golden delicious apple, and nutmeg. The attack is a deep drought of more apple and pear with toasty coconut, vanilla cream and baked apple spices. Deft and balanced with wonderful length. This is a delight on its own and with food. 14.3% alc. With cheeses and crusty bread. Highly Recommended.

March 10, 2018 - As big as the Seirra Mar is, this wine is even bigger. Intense Asian pear, golden delicious apple, toasty coconut and a whollop of vanilla with baked apple pie spices carry over for a long finish. 14.3% alc. With home-made sweet potato ravioli with PM while she is home for last spring break of college career. PM favored the Sierra Mar over this wine. Highly Recommended.

February 17, 2018 - More impressions: Asian pear, golden delicious apple and popcorn with shaved truffles. And the color! Sunlight in a glass (as I’ve said before). The apects of the nose translate to the palate in spades with coconut added in. A stunningly good California Chardonnay. 14.3% alc. With cheeses of St. Angel, Estomoniere, a truffled cheese and Haberton and crusty bread and oysters with the Schreibers and Fords. Highly Recommended.

December 1, 2017 - My first bottle of this. No real notes, but impressions of Asian pear, golden delicious apple and sunlight in a glass. Flavors much the same with baked apple pie spices added in. Coconut appears at some point and carries the finish. 14.3% alc. With cheeses of St. Andre, manchago and crusty bread. Highly Recommended.
