November 12, 2019 - I would dare to say this is in a dumb phase. Noteworthy acidity and muted fruit, not many secondary notes at this point. Might hold my last bottle for quite a few years.

October 16, 2019 - A fascinating combination of fruit and oxidative notes. Medium + acidity, accentuated by the oxidative element. Ripe fine quite light tannins, mid weight body and alcohol, though it is 13.5%, so either overstated or the nature of the wine integrates the alcohol really well.
Fruit notes are: blackberry, damson, morello and sour cherry, with a hint of sharp red-currant. I think the fruit will fade so would drink now - but I am no expert on traditional Rioja's.
Overall an interesting rather than instantly appealing wine.

September 1, 2019 - A year ago, I stated that I didn’t think there was much room for improvement. Wrongo bongo. The fantastic bouquet is now fully expressing itself on the palate as well as the nose. Deep, lush, beautiful florals and candied berries with a fine tactile grip of tannins.
Perfectly open and ready with a short aeration.
    Maybe my WOTY. 5+13+18+9= 95
