April 6, 2024 - Corked
September 26, 2021 - Well integrated, balanced CdP-style blend. In a nice drinking window now and should continue to hold up for a while still.
April 3, 2020 - Cork taint
May 10, 2018 - Been buying Maison Bleue wines for several years now and this is the first one I have popped a cork on. It did not disappoint! PnP and it was amazing from the get go. Got even better over dinner. For me this was a WA State version of CdP. Can't wait to open the next wine from Maison Bleue after this one.
March 7, 2018 - Drinking very nicely now. Vacuum sealed and much smoother on night 2 - paired nicely with homemade enchiladas and chicken noodle soup. Light/medium body, red fruit, with an almost medicinal note on night one that was gone on night 2 trending towards medium bodied. Really enjoyable.
September 6, 2017 - Light fresh, and sweet fruit. Good acid to stand up to ribs
July 31, 2017 - Dark ruby with black cherry nose. Light acid and tannins, enough to balance the bold savory fruit with a bit of Unami, giving a smoothly drinking wine. Preferable for those liking some fruit. A slight mineral bitter on the finish. Drinking nicely now.
March 26, 2017 - Medium ruby with ripe berry nose. Dry with some tart mineral and stone fruit tannins up front. More on the fruit forward than restrained style with medium fruit and body, good balance and the stuffing to last many years. night one needs more open time and should show better on night two.
March 22, 2017 - The weight and minerality belie Washington
Opens out nicely, rich touches are well balanced
January 16, 2017 - Served with a Dijon mustard based chicken dish - a little heavier than expected -?0% Syrah should have tipped me off! I am a big MB fan but next time I'll match it more appropriately.
Opened up very nicely in the glass, solid dark fruit, medium tannin, nice finish
