Community Tasting Notes 30

March 24, 2024 - The acidity is firmly in the forefront of this wine now. It tastes to me like cherry cola with a healthy dollop of lemon juice. Purchased on release and stored in my cellar since.

May 20, 2023 - Popped and poured. Terrific nose of black cherry, lavender and spice. Medium bodied, nicely balanced, lots of persistence. Impressive. Still youthful. Good value for money too.

March 26, 2022 - 2 1/2 hours off decanting and this wine is hitting its stride: pomegranate, cranberry, sour cherry, orange zest, rose petals (lots!), and sandalwood. Beautiful wine!

  • Highlander65 Likes this wine: 90 points

May 7, 2021 - Opaque (unfiltered) appearance. Lighter red, almost pinkish hues. Soft tannins balanced against bright red fruit (cherry, pomegranate, strawberry). Surprisingly medium bodied for the age and color. Continues to open and evolve. A nice, unique wine.

February 14, 2021 - Very good. I love where this is at. Great freshness, aromatics and texture. Perfumed cranberry, tart cherry, citrus, sandalwood, cedar and cinnamon. I'd say this has another year or two before it starts moving towards black tea, savory.
