April 4, 2016 - Held up well for being over the hill. Definitely grapey with not a lot going on in terms of secondary flavors or complexity, but drinkable over three nights under pump.
August 21, 2011 - Delicious. Better 2nd day, fruit forward grapey
December 17, 2010 - Wow! I found nine bottles in the back of my cellar. I had not had this wine in over four years. It is starting to really show its age and needs to be consumed soon. Has lost much of its original fruit but still very smooth. A wonderful weeknight wine. I wish Sparky was still making this cabernet because it was one of the best value wines ever!
April 11, 2010 - Still drinking very well.
January 8, 2010 - Opened and placed in decanter with funnel to filter wine. Let stand in decanter for 20 minutes. Nice nose, plum forward, nice smooth finish although not very long. A bit ofcherry at the end. Not disappointed in the least!
January 3, 2010 - Drank the bottle - it was bad... waited too long :(
January 21, 2009 - blueberry, mocha, and mint Better than last bottle.
October 19, 2008 - Purple-Violet Color. Lightly perfumed aroma. Menthol, eucalyptus, mint, and slightly flowery. Flavors lean more towards the vegetative than fruit. Bell pepper, menthol. Some spiciness on the finish. Lengthy, persistent finish that develops nicely. Spicy at first, then buttery (??), with the tannins kicking in at the end. While this wine was enjoyable, it was kind of weak for a cab. Given the price (less than $10), can't complain
September 13, 2008 - Cherry, violets and very smooth tannins.
July 4, 2008 - This has really improved since my last bottle 2 years ago, and is drinking well now. A fragrant bouquet of fruits and lilac previews a wine with silky mouthfeel, well integrated tannins, and blueberry and mocha flavors.
