I managed to score a triple of these at auction - I was hoping to share them with friends, but, well, we're not allowed to leave the house. Very fine wine - getting towards the end of its life, but still with some miles left - complex around dark fruits, long finish - yumm- -

Wine two of the night - the was singing, although in a very different tone to the Mouchão Tonel 3/4 - deep, lush, blackberries, smooth, almost a hint of port-like sweetness - in a great spot right now. -

March 13, 2016 - We went with some new friends, Kathy and Tom from down under, for lunch at the Sever near Portalegre - surprisingly good wine list, and extremely reasonable prices - and I picked this for 35 euros - It came a little chilly (and after 20 minutes) from their cellar and was popped into the decanter - didn't take too long to open up to a deep, rich, fruity but restrained wine exuding class and style - sadly, as the driver, I couldn't have very much at all - but it was generally enjoyed - these Marquês de Borba Reservas are very nice wines.

November 24, 2014 - Our second bottle of wine at dinner (they'd run out of the Altas Quintas Crescendo) - very nice - smooth, deep, firm without being solid or hard, and a long finish - I'm thinking the 11 euros we were charged might have been a mistake.
