July 17, 2020 - Delicious and rich, but not quite as tense and precise as the last bottle. Guess there’s some bottle variation, but the variation seems to go from “very good” to “utterly thrilling” — not a bad range.

May 23, 2020 - Massively juicy and sweet, in the best sense. Fills the mouth from attack through midpalate and finish. This is honey-dripped pears with a chalky mineral finish.

Usually I prefer this producers Chevalieres, but this bottle is a reminder that Grand Charrons is sneaky — it may take longer to show itself, but when it does... wow.

This bottle is as definitive an example of what I want from my Meursault as I can recall. Pitch perfect at this moment.

February 16, 2020 - Blind. Bonfire, complex, some reduction, smooth and pleasant, long, structured and fresh.

February 2, 2020 - Tense and mineral, with a sweet mid-palate and a remarkable saline finish. This is much improved from the last bottle, and should continue to hold/improve for some years.

August 31, 2019 - PnP. Subtle bouquete turned into a lovely floral garden with Meursault signature aromas after an hour. Palate also kept gaining weight and structure with time but nothing over-the-top. I should let it keep sleeping for few more years.

April 27, 2019 - Finished slowly in four hours. Rich and complex Meursault bouquet and lovely structure. Amazing for a lieux-dits. Will wait at least two more years before opening another bottle.

April 26, 2019 - Boisson Vadot White Wines & A Mix of Old Red Burgundy (Paradise Valley, AZ USA): More dense and structured than either Chevalieres, less giving and backward by comparison. This still needs quite a bit of time, let 'em sleep.

October 27, 2017 - Polished lemony creamy fruit, very Meursault in character. Very long finish, though it's mineral and not much else at this point. Not as much dry extract as I'd hoped there would be.

There's a lot of buzz about this producer being the next Coche-Dury, and while I like this wine I don't see the similarity - perhaps with age, it will start to add some of the heroic volume experienced in Coche Dury wines.

These are still young, and I will look forward to tasting again in the future. I wouldn't open a bottle for at least 3 years, and this will probably benefit from considerably more age.

February 19, 2017 - Typical of the 12, very ripe yellow fruit driven nose, peach, lemon curd, honey, a hint of flint, saline and mineral. Excellent concentration, bright acidity, good mineral presence and a medium finish. Quite impressive concentration for a village Meursault. Very good showing.
