August 23, 2023 - A village wine that delivers some strong character of Gevrey even in 2013.
without no doubt a wine with thought.

November 8, 2020 - Sophisticated, balanced, ripe and charming fruit, sadly my final bottle but this was everything good pinot noir should be and it was good value as well. In a good year I'll try and get some more of this.

January 13, 2019 - Rather saturated ruby red. Bouquet of red fruit with hints of bacon fat and herbs. Mouthfilling and pleasing on the palate. No sense of over extraction or excessive oak. Acidity is high. A very enjoyable Gevrey. I wouldn’t pair this with something highly flavored. It would be exceptional with a simple roast beef.

November 21, 2018 - Twas the night before Thanksgiving and all through the house, down on Martha's Vineyard, all the guests loved the 2013 GC. Wonderful nose, beautiful burgundian flavors... Excellent value. Love it.

June 24, 2018 - 12.5% - Clear, med bright ruby / clean, pronounced intensity - redcurrant, raspberry coulis, mushroomy forest floor, black tea, violet, spicy kick / dry, med to high cranberry like acidity, med fine grained tannin, med body, med+ intensity, long finish. Expressive young and crunchy berry fruit infused by a floral bouquet. Very nice right now, but will most likely be rewarding to forget the remaining bottles for a few more years. 91(+)

December 17, 2017 - Blueberry and blackcurrant on the nose, pleasingly fragrant. Palate delivers a large dose of acidity but it is overall well-rounded. Good finish with gentle spice at the end.

December 7, 2014 - Domaine Drouhin-Laroze visit in June 2014: Malo had just started for this wine. For this Villages wine, grapes are sourced from eight different parcels and from a total of four hectares. This wine exudes the fragrance of small red berries, also earth, mixed spices and underbrush. A very Gevrey bouquet. On the palate, this is finer than previous wines, particularly in the tannin structure. Very good crunchy fruit with savoury and earthy notes. Racy acids. This has elegance. Persistent and rich. Lovely fruit.
