April 12, 2019 - This probably didn't start life as a super elegant wine, but it has aged really nicely. Brick red in the glass, it has a hint of cedar on the nose. On the palate there are notes of red fruit, spice, and tobacco, with firm, fine grain tannins around the edges. If you're still hanging onto a bottle of this, now is the time to drink.

November 17, 2014 - AiS Assisi: Intense ruby red, with purple rim. Intense and complex, medium fine at nose: some barnyard notes over red fruit. Vitamin hints.
Dry, alcoholic, medium rounded. Good acidity and minerality, but tannins too much alive, not inviting to a second sip...LM: 89/2013
