March 25, 2018 - Lovely light clear garnet with lots of legs
Subtle berry nose that opens and grows
Wild strawberries and black cherries and a bigger than expected mouthfeel and gently tapering finish
    Not profound but enjoyably delicious

July 23, 2017 - Screw cap. Simple nose of red berries, light in body. No major flaws. OK for the price.

    September 9, 2016 - N: Strawberry, cranberry, spice, delicate
P: Medium body, lots of berries, juicy, ok acid, pretty firm tannin, grippy, very astringent
F: Lots of wood, raspberry, cranberry and oak
O: A nice effort, easy drinking, easily identified as California pinot

March 5, 2016 - Dried flowers and some grassy notes on the nose. On the palate the wine is subtle, bordering on austere. Front has some mild acidity and just a hint of red fruit. There's a pleasant neutrality to the wine as a whole but a bit more fruit would go a long way to making this a more exciting wine.

January 9, 2016 - I am surprised at the low feedback on this one. I found it to be a nice drinker for the price. Nice fruit up front with some classic earth tones on the finish. Was a little better on day two.

July 22, 2015 - Barely transparent starbright cranberry red, going to pink at the edge; medium viscosity. On the nose: dark cherries, cranberry, cola, pencil shavings. On the palate it leads with red fruit: plum, raspberry, blueberry pie filling, with a bit of forest floor. Good acid and v fine tannins, minerality; mouthfeel surprisingly plush for the varietal. Linear and pure, without the overwhelming strawberry and cola flavors I disfavor in many SB Pinots (particularly at modest price points). Great food wine -- bang on with the olive pizza I made, but it could work with a wide range of flavors. One of my favorite Pinots from the area, and drinking nicely right now.
