  May 25, 2012 - Tight at first, but after an hour it had really opened up. Not a lot on the nose, some muted dark fruits and a little cedar. On the palate however, a different story. Lots of dark fruit, plum mostly. Some cedar, earth, leather and minerals with very subdued and smooth tannins. It has a complexity that one would not expect of a third wine. Definite cab component, but I can't say what the blend percentages are. Medium finish. Excellent wine for the price and holding up very well. Definitely can go a few more years with no problem.

  September 2, 2009 - Thought this drank very well last night. A little reticent at first, after half an hour it gave more. Lovely subdued nose with cedar, dark red fruits and some earth, then, on the palate, notes of iron and minerals added to that although there was perhaps a hint of plum. Nicely tart, this is well balanced and was a joy to drink. The Aldin continues to impress me that a third wine from KL can be so good, and so good a value.
