March 2, 2019 - Another Saturday at Chevalier...Mostly Blind New World Pinot Noir (Chevalier Fine Wines - Chicago IL): Double blind in New World Pinot Noir tasting. Red cherry on nose and palate, much brighter than I would expect given its age. Good weight, better length and nicely finessed.

October 1, 2017 - 2002 CALERA JENSEN VINEYARD MT. HARLAN PINOT NOIR- it started out like a light weight and morphed into a heavy weight in its expression and body; the fruit profile was so different from what I expect in a Pinot Noir with rustic cranberry dominating the red cherry.

May 15, 2015 - One of my favorite pinots ever. Rich, mineral notes, balanced, long finish.

January 28, 2012 - a bit over the hill , drinkable , barely pinot on the palette , nose maybe more pinot ......an hour later it was more to my liking but still not what was expected or wanted .......yes over the hill

September 26, 2011 - Light ruby with thinning on the edge. Medium herbaceous nose with cherry notes. Balanced with nice acidity. The finish is medium. This is much better after an hour of air. We enjoyed this wine.
