March 21, 2024 - Impressive flavour and presence. Full and dark fruited. Way to soon to drink but I am not sure one might not live with the tannins as they may outlast the fruit,

February 25, 2024 - Decanted for over 5 hours. Very smooth, still several years left in this baby.

February 24, 2024 - Beautiful bouquet with dark and red berries. On the palate sweet spices, dark and red berries, chocolate, beautiful acidity and soft, round tannin. Delicious wine in its early maturity stage and in a good drinking moment now.

February 22, 2024 - Incredible. Refined and long lasting. Openned and let breathe in the glass and bottle and it wasn't until hour 3 before the tannins eased off. What a wonderful finish.

February 6, 2024 - Very woody but it's beautiful fruit does come through. This is a very good $70 wine, but it is not great. Sorry to know this is my last one.

January 21, 2024 - Must start this review by noting that it is a baby - needs at least another 3 years before approaching. I never decant Italian wine, only open the bottle and let breathe - and after 6 hours it was knocking the socks off of other 2010s such as Ch. Montrose, Ch. Pontet Canet, and Ch. Lynch Bages - so take from that what you will.
The nose is abundant in fresh herbs (notably lavender and mint) and a hefty dose of crushed stone minerality. The nose is a everchanging at this stage but the palate pulls together with difined density, violet, mineral, and an abundance of fresh fruit. Just, YUM. Where the complexity develops we will have to wait and see - potentially a 98 point wine

January 17, 2024 - Wow, that was the common theme of our wine groups 2010 tasting. The bouquet was beautiful with dark fruits, tobacco, and spice - very aromatic and refined. On the palate there was also a hint of black pepper and the finish was long and wonderful. We savored this one for quite a while. Still had plenty of age left.

January 13, 2024 - "Oh, THIS is good!" said my wife after her first (blinded) sip. This bottle drank so young, incredibly fruity and vibrant, no signs of aging. A brambly core of dark fruits, some baking spices and cinnamon, great balance and acidity and tannins. Could have mistaken this for a blend with merlot. Absolutely spectacular with years left to go in my opinion.

December 31, 2023 - Upon opening it was quite drinkable with a moderately open nose giving a subtle note of balsamic. A couple of hours later it showed more of the same BdM characteristics and remained quite youthful and fresh despite the age. Quite enjoyable to pair with some lamb sausage. That said I did feel something was missing - while a delicious bottle of wine it lacked a certain BdM style and felt closer to a merlot-heavy Bdx. I was hoping for a bit more uniqueness, depth and character. But perhaps my expectations were off? We'll see with the next bottle.

December 29, 2023 - Big bold, in your face wine. Dark brambly fruit encased in firm but beautiful tannins with a burst of fresh acidity. This wine has it all in spades, amping up the volume on all dimensions but keeping them in perfect balance. Blackberry preserves, tar and wet earth. This is very enjoyable now but will last for well over a decade longer.
