December 22, 2021 - Deep golden color consistent with its age, but, while mature in profile, this fortunately was not overly oxidised. Petrol on the nose. On the palate, a nice balance of acid and mineral against a very light fruit sweetness. Probably between a 91-92 but I'll round up given it surprised me (on the upside) and has a very good QPR.

November 13, 2018 - Whatever was missing in my last bottle in 2017 is back now in spades. Spatlese in name, but nothing here could be recognized as sweetness. There is an umami richness, bitter crunchy unripe apricot, great acid.

October 10, 2018 - Fairly advanced in color (golden). Nose of gingerbread, apricot skins, grapefruit pith. Lighter in the mouth than I was expecting, with just a bit more concentration needed to bring this to the next level. Finish is excellent, with good acidity and an intense return to grapefruit pith. Strong nose and finish makes the mid palate come across as a touch hollow at first, but once I get used to it, it bothers me less. With airtime the acidic bitter finish is become really intense and enjoyable, and as odd as it may be to call acidic bitter a hedonistic aspect of the wine, it really seems apt. Feel this has enough acidic structure to continue to evolve for several more years.

April 7, 2017 - Feels like this is fading a bit relative to my last bottle. Still has the nice apricot pit, lemon zest zing; but missing that super intriguing umami, saline thing.
