August 1, 2018 - Brownish. Light, rustic wine. Holding up well. Worked with a chicken parm dinner. Balanced, but not what you would call "elegant" by any stretch!

April 24, 2017 - Medium reddish garnet in color. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of red cherries, strawberries & plums with overtones of earthy/dusty & floral notes of roses, spices, pepper, tar/pine, stony, minerals, herbs, smoky & a slight hint of oak in the background. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of tart red cherries, strawberries & cranberries with earthiness, spices, herbs & minerals. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & airing but has the potential for continued development with a few more years of additional aging. A really nice yet rustic Nebbiolo blend with a very good QPR.

September 18, 2016 - Fine country wine. PnP'd with country Italian food. Good accompaniment. Even better the next day. This is a simple wine, but one with a lot of balanced flavors. Tannins are fading, but the underlying fruit (cherry and ?) and spiciness really complemented the food.

May 6, 2016 - Fruity and peppery nose with a bready thing. Balanced acid, meaty, smoky and candied plums plus nice long finish. What a cool wine!
