November 24, 2021 - Wow, this lives up to the hype and will go on for 50 years. No kidding.
Big, darker Brunello with fantastic fruit/tannin balance.
    50% cork bleed.
Popped it with intent to slo-ox for 5-6 hrs. Tasted, decided that wasn't necessary, recorked, and drank 5-8 hours later. Great fruit/floral nose. Teriyaki beef, grilled meat, graphite, mushroom, blackberry, cassis. Complex and well-structured. 96+

September 26, 2021 - Quite big, rich and sweet. Red and dark fruits with tar and leather behind - a very classic Brunello profile. There are also cinnamon and fruit cake notes. Still quite primary. Long finish and some complexity, Drink now while the fruit balances the tertiary flavours.

September 2, 2021 - Popped'n poured, but even better with an hour or two decant. This is a really good Brunello, with years ahead of it.

August 11, 2021 - As the special forces guys say, "slow is smooth, smooth is fast." This is evolving nicely picking up tertiary notes of mushroom, leather, forest floor and dried fruit. An elegant early mature stage at 11yrs out. Didn't see a lot of air as I took it to a fun little Sicilian styled restaurant in Hannibal MO. Home of Mark Twain. Reminded me quite a bit of Galena Il 30 minutes from where I grew up. Hannibal is another great little Mississippi river town! I can't see this ever being near a 100pt wine as James Suckling forecasted but, it will continue to gracefully evolve into a nice old school BdM that might hit 95-96pts for me in 3 -5 yr and hang around till age 20? I have a couple more to find out. The nose is really spouting some cool; earth, roses & underbrush. This btl saw about 45 minutes in my glass & btl at the venue before drinking in earnest. It really doesn't need a ton of air to display it best traits of the moment. I see this peaking in 3-5yrs tops.

July 26, 2021 - Damn...this is special! Dried plum and dark cherry on the fruit profile. Beautiful core of tobacco, leather, minerals, and spice. Wonderful structure and balance to this wine that just keeps getting better with every sip. Firm acidity and long finish. Great now but will easily go several more years.
