July 23, 2020 - Dark and brooding. Needs a lot of time in the decanter, and then even more time. More black cherry than red. If you’re opening now, maybe use a blender, or decant 2-3 hours ahead. But maybe better to wait 3-5 years I mean.

July 5, 2020 - 1st of the case and expecting this to improve - tertiary notes emerging but not in an overpowering way

June 26, 2020 - Garnet, watery rim, medium body, medium plus acidity, angular tannins, medium plus finish. Nose of dried fruits (raisin and plum), black cherry, graphite, leather.

June 14, 2020 - Much depth and structure that was evident over several hours of decanting. Restrained layers of flavors that are slow to emerge, including relative to my prior tastings over the last few years. This could easily last another 10 years. 93-94pts (easily).

June 7, 2020 - Second of four bottles. Decanted 90 minutes. Medium-dark ruby, some garnet. Intense nose of spicy red licorice, almonds, cherries, leather, melon, banana, red apple peel. Replays on the palate -- quite savoury. Miedum-full body, high acid, XD, H- tannin, 15% alcohol is well integrated. Long finish. Better day 1. Pair tonight with steak or hold until 2025.
